There are four publications in issue 13, III-2025 of "Journal of Ethnic Microhistory".
1. The article ''Leo Tolstoy in the German Mass Consciousness in the Late 19th and Early 20th Centuries'', written by Walther Friesen, examines the impact of Leo Tolstoy's philosophical ideas on the formation of mass consciousness, as well as the convictions of German politicians at that time. To this end, the author analyses relevant articles from provincial German newspapers. The article is written in German and preceded by an English abstract.
2. The ''Diary of Wilhelm Mette: Third Chronicle of the Air Raids on the Lünen-South Area Between 23 May 1943 and 15 May 1945, Written Down and Collected for the Children and Grandchildren of Wilhelm Mette'' offers a genuine picture of the day-to-day existence of the inhabitants of the German city of Lünen as the Second World War was drawing to a close. The article is written in German and preceded by an English abstract.
3. The article ''The Germans' Struggle to Leave the USSR'', written by human rights activist Eduard Deibert, focuses on one episode in the history of the Russia-Germans' struggle to return to Germany. Eduard Deibert

Eduard Deibert was born on 01.06.1942 in Schatzen / Odessa Region, Ukrainian SSR. From 1949 to 1958, he went to school in the Komi ASSR - in the place of exile of his family. From 1959 to 1963, Eduard continued his education at an evening school in Karaganda, Kazakhstan. From 1958 to 1960, he also completed his vocational training and worked afterwards as a carpenter. During that time, Eduard Deibert tried to immi¬grate to Germany. In 1974, he was arrested for the demonstration organized in 1973 with the like-minded people in Karaganda for the free departure from the USSR. Until 1976, he had to serve his sentence in a labour camp. In 1978, Eduard Deibert left for Germany and settled in Bochum. From 1978 to 1980, he completed his specialist training as an information electronics technician; from 1981 to 2004, he worked as a skilled worker at Siemens AG. In 1994, together with Viktor Lang, he founded the Association of Visual Artists of Rus¬sia-Germans. In 1997, Eduard Deibert took part in the founding of the Association of Visual Artists of the ''Homeland Association of Germans from Russia'' (Landsmannschaft der Deutschen aus Russland) in Stuttgart. He exhibited his paintings in art halls in Darmstadt, Dortmund, Düsseldorf, Wiesbaden, Stuttgart, Bielefeld, und Karlsruhe. On February 15, 2022, Eduard Deibert returned home to God.
