Journal of Ethnic Microhistory

Issue 14 (IV-2025) of the Journal of Ethnic Microhistory contains four publications.
1. The article 'Ruin and Misery Mark Their Ways' (Romans 3:16), written by Vladimir Anzukov (also known as Woldemar von Anz), the Chairman of the German National-Cultural Autonomy in the city of Khimki in the Moscow Oblast, describes the brief history of the plaque commemorating the innocent Russian and German victims of repression in the city of Khimki. The memorial was barbarically destroyed with the apparent tacit approval of the Russian authorities.
2. Dr. Walther Friesen examines the legal aspects of the deprivation of rights of Germans in the Soviet Union. The most brutal act against the German minority in the Soviet Union occurred on 7 October 1942.
3. Prof. Dr. Ileskan Smanov suggests methods for organising the professional training of future teachers, with the aim of introducing the arts as a teaching subject into Kazakhstan's entire educational system.
4. Reinhold Schulz's autobiographical story is valuable microhistorical material that reflects the typical realities of Russia-German history and everyday life from the mid-20th to the early 21st century. In it, the author attempts to be objective about the first half of his life, which he spent in the Soviet Union. This issue publishes the first part of his memoirs.
