The author of "Moments of Reflection" moved from Germany to Israel in 1999. Living in a new country with a different culture and mentality changed her worldview in general and her attitude towards life in particular. The present collection of poems mirrors the author's thoughts and feelings about Israel and Germany as well as her new ideas, hopes and views on nature, life and eternity.

Heidemarie I. Wawrzyn

Heidemarie Wawrzyn grew up in Berlin, Germany and studied History of Religions at the University of Bremen. After receiving her doctorate, she moved to Israel in 1999, where she worked at different German and Jewish institutes. Until her retirement in 2016, she was employed by the L. A. Mayer Museum for Islamic Art in Jerusalem. It was not until 2014 that she started writing poetry.
