Mehr Infos
Queer Symmetries is a space to slow down, get creative, and explore what queerness can look and feel like - on the outside and the inside.

Inside you'll find 29 hand-drawn illustrations on high quality paper inspired by real conversations and lived experiences - touching on themes like gender euphoria and dysphoria, body image beyond the binary, and the quiet (or loud) stuff that goes on inside us. Symmetry plays a big role here - used to flip expectations and open up new ways of seeing. Whether you're queer yourself and want to feel seen on the page, or you're a curious ally looking for a fresh perspective, this book offers space to reflect, color outside the lines, and connect with queerness in a calm, thoughtful way.

Stefanie Ettling

Stefanie Ettling is an illustrator and visual storyteller. After more than ten years of living in Central Asia and the Caucasus, she now lives between Albania and Germany. Much of her life has unfolded in transition and in-between spaces, an experience that closely resonates with queer ways of moving through the world.

Drawing has accompanied her since childhood. For her, it is a way of sensing, processing, and staying in dialogue with herself and with others. Her images invite pauses, moments of recognition, and quiet connection.

As a queer person in a polyamorous relationship, she brings her own lived experience as well as many conversations with friends and chosen family into her artistic work. Together with her sister Ramona, she explores themes of identity, bodies, belonging, and change under the name "Cats and Wolf".

With their coloring book centered on queer lived realities, "Cats and Wolf" publishes its first project. The book offers queer and non-binary people representation, recognition, and a gentle space to rest, while also inviting allies to explore new perspectives on identity and diversity.
