Lothar Trampert, born 1961 in Trier, Germany, loves Rock, Jazz, Funk, Classical music, Blues, R&B, as well as electric guitars, good weather, cycling, cats & photography.

He studied musicology and art history, worked as a freelance journalist and author, was music editor of a musician's magazine for more than 30 years, and has conducted about 400 interviews with artists of all genres.

His most recent publications were the autofictional story "Popsog", published in 2024 under the pseudonym Jan Urbanek, and "Jimi Hendrix. Musician Popstar Icon" from 2025, an almanach about the man, the musician, his instruments, inspirations and influences. More about that on www.jimihendrixbuch.de
