South Asian Women Writers Breaking the Tradition of Silence: An analysis of selected narratives on violence against women in India, Pakistan and Bangladesh

Roxana Palade

Roxana Palade is a PhD student at the University of Konstanz. She received her BA in Comparative Literature and English from the University Al.I. Cuza, and her MA in British and American Studies from the University of Konstanz. Her research experience in New Delhi (2009 and 2011) inspired, facilitated and reinforced her strong interest in Indian literature, feminist activism, and gendered violence. She is currently writing about women’s instrumentalization during India’s Partition. Her study is based on a selection of literary representations of women’s experience of victimization, loss, and displacement.
