The Cat behind the Veil

Bettina Faltis

Bettina Faltis has loved books and writing since childhood. Both have accompanied her throughout her professional life as a bookseller and journalist.
"With books, we can not only travel to distant worlds; they are also a key to unknown distances and inner landscapes within ourselves. Sometimes I travel on the flying carpet of my imagination, sometimes the inhabitants of other worlds lead me to new and unfamiliar places. Reading and writing fuel my creativity and allow me to discover magic in everyday life, much like children and animals do when they play, completely absorbed in the moment."
She has always shared her life with cats and has long been a quiet observer of the invisible bond between humans and animals.
