But the goddess of the forest thwarts their plan and opens a gateway to a hidden world. 210 years earlier, the explorer Alexander von Humboldt had inadvertently transported an invisible people, the Tamanaken, from the Orinoco across the ocean to his castle in Berlin, where they had built their new world. Plans and destinies converge in the Humboldt Grove. The showdown takes place at the Great Festival of Rachmakud, where a world rises that no one could have anticipated.

Henry Landers was born and grew up in Berlin. As a photographic artist, he traveled the world and gathered impressions from many cultures, which now influence his works. Writing, however, opened the door to a world full of stories in a way that photography never could. He loves to walk through Humboldt Grove every morning, which led him to discover the three main characters and the fantastic world of the Tamanaks - and, incidentally, to establish a connection to Alexander von Humboldt.
