Deborah Karl-Brandt lives in Sinzig, Germany, with her husband, two rabbits and a sizable selection of books. After completing her PhD studies in Scandinavian languages and literatures, she works as a freelance writer. She also writes fanfiction to explore many types of short poems. Her works have appeared in many haiku and short poetry magazines and earned her several honorable mentions, 2nd place in the haiku competition of the Pula Film Festival 2021 and the 6th Star Haiku Contest Overseas Grand Prize. If she is not outside for a long stroll or to do some bird watching, she is an avid reader, who currently explores Chinese Xianxia Webnovels.
